C&R CFARS Incomplete

Just got a response back on my in state acquisition of a C&R long gun that said incomplete.

Can not be processed for the following reason:
Please update the COE expiration date field to current status


I went back and checked at it was correct. Even double checked on the COE side of CFARS, and it is the correct expiration date. So I erased the date and re-entered it and resubmitted.

Am I do something wrong? The field when blank shows MM/DD/YYYY and that is how I enter it.

BTW I saw the other threads on CFARS processing here, so did someone give the DOJ their coffee machine back?

Got the same email. Was your COE expiration date close around the purchase date? Mine was. My COE was renewed some time before the expiration, purchased a K31 and submitted with the new expiration date. I had thought that DOJ was thinking that it was purchased under previous term, so back dated the expiration a year and resubmitted. It took it, but we'll see.

Mine was close in date but not in year. The acquisition was in December 2018 and the coe expires in December 2019. Maybe they thought it was 2018 and flagged it. The coe was only a week old when I made the purchase.
