    Interesting rust techniques
Thanks for the video post hermosabeach, I just did a major boneheaded move and ended up with a rust problem and luckily watched the video before doing anything else. We'll see how it turns out

Cold Poo...I mean, Cold Goo.....er, ah, ...yeah..."Cold Blue" is vile, nasty, disgusting crap that looks like schitt and smells like a diseased tom cat pissed all over a dead skunk laying on a pile of rotten eggs.

And those are its good qualities.

Just say "No!" to "cold poo". The toxic waste chemicals in this nauseating garbage will eat your brain and turn you into a drooling moron Bubba.

Since the bluing is shot, might as well go full retard on it:

Cerakote it in a tacticool color like Magpul FDE or Burnt Bronze

Or dip it in Realtree camo film.

Do it yourself. Good to learn what your limitations are on something like this. Start with rust removal, and then evaluate to see what will need to be re-blued if anything.

Sounds like a slow rust blue is what is being used in the video. Boil a clean but rusty piece in distilled water
Turns it balck. Then you rust it some more and repeat. And since it's a pistol, finding a pot big enough qont be a problem.

Thank you for adding in some missing info Tmckinney. Do you or anyone else know if I can use an aluminum pot, or does it need to be steel?
