CFARS Error?

I wanted to renew my COE online and I went to the CFARS site. I completely forgot my username and password, and our old computer broke so no help there. I created a new account, which was successful, then I went to the COE link to renew. I filled out the 5 fields and submitted the form. I got this:

"Your COE association request has been submitted. You will be notified by email upon the completion of the Bureau of Firearms review."

Huh? What's this? I expected to be asked to pay for the renewal like last year. Anyone know what this means?

It doesn’t work when you create a new account. You will have to wait for your accounts to be merged or something. IMO, creating a new account was a mistake - gonna be more hassle now.

All you had to do was use this link ‘forgot user name and password’.

As long as you know your email address and your first and last name you can recover the account.

Hmmm. I tried that too, and it kept telling me the information I entered was invalid. I tried two different emails too. Don't know what was missing. I hope I get a response from the BoF soon.

That's why I avoid changing my email address and I always keep an up to date list of logins and passwords on paper, safely stashed away in the house.

Sounds like you don't back up your computer either.
