Sonofeugene wins..October 1954.Tough one because they really didn't raise the price much until the mid 90's when the CMP took over from the Army.. I got my 1st in (around) 1990 for $165+ shipping. Took a full year to get it.(And they were limited to one per lifetime)

Orange, San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, and San Bernadino were 714.

LA Cnty was 213. That is, unless I'm old enough to THINK LA was 213.
