I picked up a pair of Ortgies; a 25 and a 32 neither appear to have been shot much if at all.
The 25 broke down and reassembled easy.
The 32, not so much. The cut out on the top of the slide for the striker spring does not want to hold the striker spring for re-assembly. The cut out will hold the spring and plug without the striker tube in place; add the striker and no go. I got the 32 re assembled by using a BBQ skewer to hold the striker spring back while I mated the frame and slide. Seems to work fine now.
I'll get new springs for both from Wolf and new mags. The 25 springs sound soft; the 32 not so soft but I'll replace anyhow.
Has anyone experienced that same with the above 32 and, if so, found a solution?
