All Are Invited, Sac Valley Silhouette Match 17 November

This Saturday November 17th is our monthly silhouette match. Everyone is invited. So if you have any type of military rifles including the politically incorrect "black rifles", Mosin, Mauser, Enfield, Garand etc come and join us. This is a super fun match. Hope to see lots of new shooters. See you Saturday.

There is a 15 minute sight in period. You will get 10 minutes to shoot 10 targets for each distance chicken 200, pig 300, turkey 385 and ram 500 meters. I would take at least 75 rounds. Be there around 07:30.

I am going to try, yet again, to make one of these. I've got a M1 Garand and a case of 167gr Lapua Secnars from CMP that have been asking to go.

Thanks for the reminder. Sandbags needed/OK? Anything else to know?

A standard sihloutte shoot is all off-hand without a hard-back shooting coat, no?

IMO Garand is best for this type of shooting due to its awesome fully adjustable peep sight. Myself will be shooting a 6 digit SA.

Non mechanical adjustable front rest is fine but no rear bags just your hand. No FMJ only HP or SP projectile.

For this match it's either prone or bench no off hand. You can wear a coat if you like but IMO not required as you are fully supported on the prone.

I'm glad we are not shooting this off hand otherwise there will be a lot of zero score including myself.

Just to clarify for this match either prone or bench no off hand.

Less than 2 days away. So who's going? It'll be fun.

For those that missed the match today you all missed a fun match. We had 36 shooters with all sorts of rifles. A bunch of M1 Garands IRC 4, many Mausers, couple of Mosins and a ton of black rifles.

I saw the pretty blond Enfield No 4 Mk 2 again. Beautiful rifle.
