    Demilled khyber "enfields" on numrich

90 bucks and free shipping, has anyone grabbed one of these? Seems like an interesting hanger.

Check out the deal on Khyber Pass Lee-Enfield No.1 MK 1 Display Rifle at Numrich Gun Parts

Really cool. Too bad they demilled the heck out of it.

this still looks a lot better than a replica, at least it's a real piece, similar to a war trophy battlefield pick up

something you could hang over the fireplace or gun room / gun shop with other collectables like a captured flag or something to go with it.

a modern replica made of resin or pot metal would cost more than $89 , so this is actually a pretty good deal.

you could probably use some putty or JB weld to fill in the holes and touch it up with black paint, and it would look more authentic on display

I bought one to hang in my garage with no worries about leaving a live or valuable firearm unsecured. It is thoroughly demilled, you can see the huge chunk of receiver missing. Display it from the other side and you won’t see it. It’s a cool piece and a piece of firearms history although as crude as an anvil.

I don’t have it in hand yet for better pictures, my friend and I went in on a large numrich order to take advantage of free shipping.

The stock looks like it was carved with a knife, I wouldn’t plan on salvaging any parts from these. According to my friend the only part that may be original is the buttplate.

Looks sorta like a CLLE with a shortened barrel and the nose cap from a P14

you could easily cut a piece of scrap wood and hand fit it to the empty spot, then glue it on, to fill in the missing chunk then hand paint it dull black to match the gun.

Yes, you could definitely do that with good results

Thanks for posting the pics James! I was thinking about picking one up to hang on the wall as well.

Same, I saw a picture once of a 91/30 hanging on the wall and really liked it but worried about theft, even when they were only $99. This would look cool over the fireplace.

Maybe 35.00 if shipping was included. I would have to even think hard at that Bargain price though.

Saw the rifle in person- it's a GI tourist trap workshop gun, probably a favor they demilled it.

                              The buttplate is not original

It'll make a good wall hanger though. I wish they didn't weld the bolt head- then you'd get to see how loose the bolt is!! haha

I had a non-demilled one I sold on auction awhile back- a shop guy bought it. I made him promise he nor any future purchaser would fire it. It would probably kill the firer.
