    SAA .357 makers

    I need help from the brain trust of olden day guns again please.

    I just spent an hour looking through the internet at images and forums and still cant figure this out.

    It says Single Action Army .357

    Then its got two patent dates with a single BM ion a square.

    Doesn't seem like Pieta/Cimmaron/Uberti

    I wish it was a secret phantom Colt but no way in hell that's it.

    Probably an Italian date code (BM = 1999), and likely made by Uberti.

      Appreciate the input. Why doesn't uberti have a branded stamp?

        I have a SAA .357 made by Uberti and sold by Cimarron. The placement of the serial number and dates is similar. Actually, there are slight differences in the way the dates are marked. However, the build - screws, coloring, how the pieces fit and shape is exactly the same.
        Check to see if there is a -U- graphic next to the base pin, to the left of any numbers. That is Uberti's mark
        The BM stamp is apparently a date mark on Italian replicas. It means it was made in 1999.

        Anyway, take a look at this and see if it helps:
