      Just a thought Maybe some reproductions are available that fit the bill. When I was looking for a scope for my Mosin Sniper, there were Some reproduction scopes that looked the part. Maybe you can find something like that. They are pretty affordable as well.

      There is also the Weaver K4 scope. It also looks the part and costs between $75-150...depending on where you get it. There is a seller on EBay right now with two for sale at $109 for both. Two for one.

        I would pass on those. I went through two of them when building a K98 High Turret repro, and they were both garbage. Very nice looking scopes, but there was a ton of slop in the adjustments. Just tightening the locking screw on the elevation screw would change by about 5 MOA.

        Look for a post war scope on eBay, you should be able to find one for a couple hundred bucks.

          The repros are made in unnamed Chinese factories and are down right shoddy, not worth it. They also make fools think it's original, which is not what we want to promote as collectors. If it's a shooter then make it one with a decent modern scope or a original that isn't trying to look like something it's not.

              Your best bet is to search eBay for German Scope, ignore any with bases or rings attached. You want 26.5 mm tube. I found a post war Henzolt for my HT project, I just looked back and it was $275.

              On edit, better info on the scope;

                Hutch, is your rifle an original WW2 era m/41 or one of the 1955 m/41b upgraded reworks?

                  WW2 M-41. Has scope base but no mount or scope. Awesome shooter, bluing sucks as the chick that gave it to me; dad had kept it hidden in a couch loaded, before he died. Barrel is like new. Tried to sell it as it didn’t fit my collection and was ackward as the barrel is uber long. But as I tried to sell the rifle there were just too many flakes as the serial number has been drilled through for the scope mount. So it sat in the safe and rifle slowly grew on me as I kept taking it to the range. Then I discovered that M-41b mounts were being reproduced and that got my gears turning.

                    I have an original m/41 mount setup with spare original base and spare original locking lever for sale. A friend has it listed for sale on a couple sites for me, and I think I might have it listed on a couple also. Here is the description of it:

                    Scope mount setup for late WW2 Swedish m/41 Mauser sniper

                    Original scope mount setup (base, mount, rings) for the WW2 era m/41 (NOT m/41B) sniper rifle.

                    This has the later second pattern "Type 2" base that is longer than the earlier first pattern base and is rectangular instead of being curved at the front.

                    THIS IS NOT FOR AND WILL NOT FIT THE m/41B RIFLE - IT IS A DIFFERENT SIZE & HOLE PATTERN, AND DOES NOT HAVE THE STOP SCREW ON THE FRONT.

                    It's for the m/42 scope. It's a very rare item if you need it, or could be used to build up a replica WW2 m/41 sniper. It comes with an extra original base and locking lever, both hard to find items that could be sold to recoup some of the cost of this setup.

                    $750 FIRM + shipping

                    The rings could be shimmed to fit other scopes.

                        That is identical to my base mount that is on my rifle.
