First free(er) state purchase

Winchester 1917. Like California, Washington allows C&R holders to buy C&Rs directly. Oregon does not.

I am looking forward to firing this. Winchester receiver and barrel, and just the faintest sign of corrosion on the bottom of the floor plate. Next weekend I will disassemble it and lubricate it.

What's the deal w/OR? I was ready to buy a SKS in OR last weekend with my C&R but nobody knew how to do the paperwork so I passed

I haven’t had a chance to look at all of the parts yet. The rear sight has an Eddystone stamp. I honestly will be equally happy with any serviceable combination of parts.

So many were rebuilt for WW2 that a mix of parts is common.

Interesting, the Danish patrol carries both M1917s and Glock 20s.
