    Thanks, Dgf.

I was pleasantly surprised how well the Swede shot. Kendog did a fantastic job on it.

I'm still concerned that the grouping went to h-ll after I adjusted it. Not sure what to make of that.

I was concerned that it might take a little shooting in to settle the action back into the stock after being removed for the work that Kendog did, but except for the scope adjustment, this rifle shot great from the very first shot.

Glad we found a bolt that head spaced properly.
Wonder how it will compare to the original you just picked up.
I can't say enough good things about your work, Ken. Many people recommended you and they were spot on.

I'm going to pick up the original tomorrow now that I've "cooled off". I'll try to shoot it this week and post the results.

No worries. It was good meeting you and maybe we will meet up at the range again.

I wanted to ask you about the black powder rifle you were shooting. It looked interesting. And you were shooting that air rifle great!

With the groups you shot, I would stick with the 120gr match. I doubt you'll do any better.
A couple of years back, when I got my first Swede, the 120gr match was the cheapest available, so I bought a bunch.
PM me if you want to trade me some of that 139gr stuff for sone 120. I am in Elk Grove.
Bainter, I think you are right. It certainly liked the 120 gr PPU and it loved the Lapua 108 ammo.

Let me go through my ammo box and see if I have enough of the heavy ball to make it worth your while.

The musket is an East India Company Type F 75 caliber Smooth bore from about 1841. Big ol thing! Dad was shooting the Air rifle, I was shooting a little BSA .22 Martini. That thing is quiet!

              Nice!

I wished I looked a little closer at your rifles while you were there.

Was wondering what kind of ball you use in Type F and what .22 ammo your BSA likes.

I'll be back at the range soon! The BSA likes everything except Federal Game Shok .22. It really shines with Eley TenEx though. I was using some of the CCI quite .22 and the Eley Club rounds at the range. You're welcome to try it next time!

I talked to a buddy about the scope issue and he suggested making adjustments that were greater than called for and then backing them down to the proper setting. In other words, if you want to make a 16 click adjustment, make a 20 click adjustment and then back it up 4 clicks.

                    Anyone heard of that technique?

I took the faux M41B out this weekend for some 200 and 300 yard shooting. It did pretty well with my reloads.

@200 yards, first two were 7:00 o'clock in the 10 ring, the next three were in the x ring. Group size was about 1.5", or about .75 MOA.

Things opened up considerably at 300 yards

@300 yards. The barrel had cooled down, not sure what order the shots were because I could not make them out with my spotting scope. Group size is about 3.5", or just over 1 MOA.

                            It gets a little goofy with PRIVI 140g fmj's but 140g SMK's or Senica 139g fmj's it's happy. At it's best with RL22.

                              Nice target, MJ.

My genuine M41B shoots so far to the left that I haven't been able to shoot it for precision. Need to study how to shift the windage through the mount without ****ing something up.
