Seems like a strange request to me, so you have me curious, care to say why? Maybe I could use one too, if they are that nice and worth seeking out

Would it make the gun more collectable to have the carton it was shipped in, or any similar container? I bought an 03A3 years ago but I don't remember if the carton (which immediately went into the recycling bin) had anything on it matched to the rifle. To date that is my only purchase direct from Uncle Sam.

If I kept all the boxes of long guns that I've bought I'd need an extra room just to store them. And that wouldn't work for me. I've got 'em stacked barrel up and down in the safes like sardines in a can.🙂

Mine was recycled. I figure the CMP marked Plano case was enough. Maybe they didn't have those back in the 03 Springfield days.

You guys crack me up. I'm shipping a CMP gun to my pops up in free country. I have the green hard case but I'd like the cardboard box to ship in if anyone has it. Not sure where to pick the shipping box up from other than ULine.

Only thing on the outside of the cardboard boxes was the shipping label.

I'll look tomorrow. There is a plain CMP M1 Carbine box around here somewhere.

Not having ordered from CMP since they went to the hard cases for shipping, is the hard case enclosed in a cardboard box or just the hard case with the shipping label attached on the outside?

Contact a local I/C Lighting Shop; They may have some empty 4' + Fluorescent or LED Tube boxes - now that would be an innocuous (shipping) container

FedX and other shipping places can usually come up with a suitable box.
