    Powder Horn?

Picked this up today on a hunch. Come from a ladies grandfather.

Also a unknown era Redfield Partner 3x9.

    Was priced to sell.

Sure its real, just not necessarily old. You also need spout, Track of the Wolf has some.

Wow, looks hand carved. Be interesting to know if it is authentic/period. Very small, bet it's used for the priming charge.

I wouldn't put a spout on it, just carve a plug instead. Even if it's old, it doesn't look like a horn I'd pay more than $5 for unless, I really wanted it, then, I might go as high as $10. Old horns come up at reasonable prices all the time.

              Yes. It's really a horn.

Yup....it's real. Wasn't sure if it actually was a "powder horn".

Maybe for fine primer powder, or pistol?

Could have been a priming horn, a salt horn (for carrying salt) or even a hunting horn for day hunts.
