    NATO ammo can question!

    Hello C&R Calgunners,

    Picked up another ammo can for my collection at the Victorville Gun Show.

    Gentleman I bought it from, said it was a post war (NATO 7.62x51) German style can, made in Finland.

    $15, just thought it was cool. I like the bottle opener latch handle!

    Looks to have been repainted and has some overspray on the leather covers on the top and side handles.

    Is there a safe way to remove the overspray on the leather without hurting the leather?

    Here are a couple of pics;

    Thanks, Spartan301

    You might try some Ballistol on the leather. No guarantees.
    Just taking up space in (what is no longer) the second-worst small town in California.

        Very good, I'll give them a try.
