    Star model B?

    I bought one from https://rguns.net/shop/star-model-b-9mm-ww2/
Everything looks good but mismatched. Also got 2 spare mags. Can't wait to try it next week. What ammo do you guys use with it? Will 115gr work? Thanks

Could you see where the import marks are? I might have to order one of those?

there is a Spanish pistol forum at gunboards. There is a LOT of wisdom regarding the Star pistols circulating over there.

When the Soviets got guns, they disassembled them-mixed all the parts, cleaned them, coated them, and reassembled them. Having all matching numbers for a Soviet Capture firearm would be kind of surprising.

Militaries didn't care about matching numbers- just general function.

Heck, I have a USA mil contract High Standard that has a slide number 20 digits off from the frame number: both numbers were part of contract. An armorer either didn't care, or thought these parts fit better than the ones that were paired originally.

Some accounts state that they prefer steel cases [probably the ones made 1942-44]. Mine has no issues with brass.

They are nice, but not a lot of support out there. Parts can cost you the entire gun before you solve a problem- so be sure you WANT to solve it, vs just have fun.

Read up on the 'fake' Nazi Star Model Bs vs the Bulgarian contract Star Model Bs that someone added a Nazi stamp to.

For the price listed, I don't think it would matter to me which it was.

I have seen some try to sell the Bulgarian contract ones as Nazi contract ones, and try to charge $1200. They dropped the price to $700 last I checked. I hope they didn't pay $700 and think it really was a Nazi gun, as opposed to a gun with Nazi marks added.

I paid about what the linked website charges at my LGS a year ago or so. Mine was Spanish production for Spain- with a 1945 year of make. So, mine was WWII era, but not to a combatant.

Enjoy. they are a lOT of fun!
Where did all the range-time go?

I got mine from Rguns as well awhile back, it came with 1 mag electro penciled with serial number matching the pistol. Shoots great with TuLa steel case 115g.
*FYI* NO DRY FIRING with these*
