C&R 1/30 Handgun Ruling (Per DOJ) 5-29-18

Hi All, at my workplace there was a ruling that came through our DES (CA DOJ Dros Entry System) that said that now those individuals with an FFL03 AND a COE are now exempted from the 1/30 handgun rule on new handguns that are rostered as well, instead of the old way where it was just C&R guns that were 1/30 exempted, but will have to have both the FFL03/COE at the time of purchase. Attached is a copy of the ruling that came through this afternoon. Good news for once for us FFL03 holders!

Really, once you are cleared, which are instant now due to the speed of electronic communications, why do either of these make a damned bit of difference?

Just curious; was this the result of pursuits by the NRA and/or CRPA to make the CA DOJ follow the law? I know they had some letter of demand or threat of legal action in the past over it.

They've already accomplished their goal with this illegal regulation: they cut short the number of off-roster guns we could buy before SSE was legislated out. And nobody got punished for it, as usual. As long as there's no real punishment for government officials acting illegally, this will continue.
