    Sten

I have two Stens I built a few years back. I'm not sure what the requirements are or even if they have to be marked or not. I don't intend to sell either one of them.

So do I have to mark them up now, or am I still OK.

As seen below, it still has the original serial number on the mag holder that is welded onto the receiver.

But, I'm not sure if I'm OK to leave it as is or do I have to register it and get serial #'s, or can I just make up serial numbers???

    Any help??

if the gun was made prior you can add your marking on a 80% seeing as this was made prior the original numbers are the numbers.

It needs to be marked to ATF standards with your name, location, model, serial number, and caliber.

There are 49 pages discussing/debating here:

Most (but not all) seem to think you need to have it registered in a centralized database. The easiest way to do this seems be sending in the voluntary registration form. This must be done before July if you want to choose the serial number.

The actual value of above $.02 is less than $.01 after taxes.
