    1907 Dreyse .32 Auto Pistol

I just bought this Dreyse pistol at Gunslingers. It was on consignment, can't wait to pick it up and try it out.
It has grips with the owner's name, Richard Zeman, and a carved 7th Army logo. The other grip has a carved 4th Army logo. Can't tell if the grips are plastic, ivory, or bone.
$399.00 plus PPT and tax. I think I got a decent deal.

That looks really cool. When you shoot it, make sure to take a video!

Great bring-back curio - really nice for the collection.

Much more interesting to me than a bog standard Dreyse - they are weird little pistols,

      Like yours though!

        Very cool.

If you try and research it at least you have a uncommon last name to search for and you can assume there's some connection to the fourth or seventh army.

And in my opinion that's the gun they should've called Schmeisser, because he designed it ( and I believe his whole family is famous for arms design in Europe) , rather then the gun he didn't design but got the Schmeisser name … the World War II German submachinegun, MP 40.

Here's a link on how to determine if the groups are ivory.

Ivory is made from the tusks and teeth of elephants, whales and several other animals. While bone and ivory can be similar in appearance, weight, and feel, ivory tends to be of higher value and more regulated than bone. Start by...

Beauty, but I'll bet the grips are phenolic resin, aka Bakelite or "ivoroid."

Very cool. The grips make the gun for me. Please post what you find out about Mr. Zeman.
Is it the reflection or is that pistol in the white? Looks like the finish has been buffed out. Either way I'd of snatched it up for that price.

It's nickle-plated (I think). The grips do look like bakelite. Maybe they were made from some salvaged item. I'll know more when I pick it up.

they aren't ivory but bakelite was used a lot for personal grips back then. should make a nice addition to your collection and may it serve you well.

Cool find. Have you seen Babylon Berlin on Netflix? The main character has this pistol.
