    K31 pricing

Enjoying my day off and was looking around and seen this. For a sight unseen rifle this might be a little pricey?

Nutz, and pricey no matter which way you look at it.
Those guys have a penchant for overpricing everything Swiss.

Prices at gunbroker are not FAR off from Co. Gun Sales.

For a K31 at Simpsons Ltd., the low end was about $375 while the high was about $600. Price was higher with the diopter sights.

A 96/11 was going from $525 to $600 or so.

However, those prices are the norm for refurbished M1 Garand (field or service grade) from the CMP

I agree with their pricing. M1's are a different story I think. I'd be happy with anything CMP has
Speaking now of GB the sellers post lots of pic's for that price range....lots.
I'm thinking that price was a little high, I'm not looking for another but that seems like big bucks! For sure if I was goon buy I ain't buying from them. I don't need another one, just window shopping
Ok even though I ain't buying if I were I'd look for a better deal.

A good price for the .22 96/11 rifles advertised on the website.

              Ha ha

That was my point - nobody has qualms about the CMP price (yeah, you can thank the Saving Private Ryan movie for that ) for a refurbed field or service grade M1 but the same asking price for an all-original collector's grade K31 or 96/11, for example, folks will think twice.

Both are beautiful but getting scarce from the primary market hence $$$$ are found in the secondary market - it is what it is

OSO, what are you talking about??
                $90.00 for an Oprod??
                $45.00 for a cocking piece??
                k31s for $851.00??
                k11's for $700.00?? etc.etc.etc..........

Those Oprods are $15.00 USD each before import. I have 200 of them and if I were to sell them, it would be for $39.50 each. ALL of their Swiss items are overpriced. I've been doing imports for some 25 years now, and I'm VERY familiar with values.

ALL of those Oprods here are destined to be LHOs, and that's not to say I couldn't bring in another 200, but I'm in the Swiss Products business........ not the import business. If I were 50 years younger......... then probably.

They want to make money by raising the price due to diminished supply. That's all I'm taking about.

I won't disagree with that. It's the Ami way, but some are far worse than others. Reasonable is reasonable, but blatant taking advantage is in a category of it's own.
