    DoJ C&R report processing times?

I've got some C&R reports that I filed through CRIS late last year that still say "In Process". I see some old threads here talking about very fast processing times (days). Is there something wrong with mine? I tried to call their contact number but it's just an automated message basically saying they're too busy to give status and no option to talk to a human.

I still have one out from the end of last year. I figured if there was a problem they would let me know.

Somewhat OT: Are pictures generally required for C&R reports in CRIS?

I've never been asked to submit pictures. My experience has been 2-5 months before they send me the approval letter.

I received one last week for a report I submitted in early January. No pictures. The only time I was ever asked for pictures was when I put in a report for my SKS. They wanted to make sure there was no GL or removable mag.

That's annoying... I've got no answer from December. I guess they're not working them in chronological order for some reason.

I bought an M39 last year and submitted the paperwork. I then sold the gun in a PPT a month later.

A couple of weeks ago, I got a letter saying that they couldn't process the registration, because the rifle was involved in a PPT at an FFL.

No duh idiots! Am I supposed to wait several months if I decide to sell a gun after buying it??

Purchased an Arisaka in Oct. Sent form in Nov. Received letter today. I guess they are really rushing them through.

Sent one in mid December and received approval notice yesterday 04/16/2018 with an actual letter date of 03/30/2018. So about 3 1/2 to 4 months.

I guess I got lucky, one I sent last Nov came back in about six weeks. Note that CRIS will still say "in progress" even after they send the approval letter. Not sure why they don't update it.

I forgot to sign my first application, that I sent early in February, I got it returned in early March. I resent everything in March 15th or so, and I just got my 03 this week. Not bad little less than a month more or less. My c o e I had got in 12 days in February.

Probably some overlap with people running AW regs, slowing down C&R reporting.
