If you have your FFL03 and COE you can purchase long guns face to face and bypass the 10 day wait for C&R hand guns. Its also because people prefer wood to plastic and enjoy collecting and shooting something from a bygone era.

Retting prices are usually sky high. American Gun Works usually has the same tired old stock that never moves and usually overpriced too.

yeah finding decent mill surplus is going to be a hit or miss try some local pawn shops. If you are looking for a deal just keep an eye on the forums until something pops up.

Best place I've found so far is Little John's in Orange. The staff is the most friendliest I've ever encountered in a gun store. They have very reasonable prices as well. When you find something let the owner over you a price before you make an offer. It will most likely be lower than you expected. They also have a guarantee , if you are not satisfied they will take it back no questions asked. They have a very good selection. Rettings is insanely high and they won't come down a penny on anything.
