    Need help identifying bolt action

    Good evening cal guns.
A friend of mine who is a recent widow asked if i wanted 2 riffles who were her husbands. Ive identified one as a winchester model 94 but the other she claims has no marks. Im guesing its a Remington? Boxes of remington ammo are 22lr. However it could be a model 30? Any help is appreciated . Photo is attached

Looks like a Model 60. The model number will be on the barrel, left side, just forward of the rear sight.

I hate to say it but we were all wrong. Picked up the rifles today. The 22 is a springfield model 83. Based on the interwebs... its a stevens made between 1934-1939. Cool little shooter

                CYA...I said "looks like".
I tried to enlarge the pic for detail, but it just got fuzzier.
I've cleaned up a couple of these, and every one was an accurate little shooter.
Any holes tapped on the left rear side of the receiver?
Some came with a hooded front sight and a rear peep. One I had on my bench was D&T'ed for a side mount scope, don't know if that was a factory option though.

I had a similar vintage single shot stevens don't remember the exact model number that was factory d&t on the left side of the reciever
