What's the worth of an Argentinean FN-49 in 7.62x51 (pix uploaded)

I have an Argentinean FN-49 in 7.62x51 that's just taking up space in the safe and I'm considering putting it in the for sale forum. It came with a 10 round magazine that was converted from a 20 rounder. I've never fired it so have no idea how it shoots. I've had it probably about 15 years and all I've done is clean it. It does have an import mark (don't recall who's). Any idea of what I could sell it for here on CG?

900-1200 is the price I have seen them for at gun shows here in So.Cal. Condition is always important, but this FN is quite nice since 7mm and 8mm are now calibers that have gotten hard to find on the regular market.

It's decent enough but not top tier. None the less, you could ask what ever you want, and just hold out for that, since there aren't any more. I'm trading an SKS and some ducat$ for a shooter grade in Oregon. Within in the last year, I've seen them for $650 - $1400. Search long guns here in the for sale section. PAX

Is the thread protector welded on?

Yes....according to my research way back, when these were imported, the thread protector was welded on to avoid issues with the Clinton AW ban.
