I have what looks to have been a Saginaw stock that was sent to Italy. It does not have any contractors or ordinance markings except for a manufacturer's RGS in the sling well. Additionally, it has a "Star FAT 82" stamp, a likely A.A.O rebuild mark and a recoil plate with RIA markings. All in all, it has seen the armory a couple of times and likely toured Southern Europe.
What I am trying to figure out is another marking near the sling well. It is an oblongish circle that has a "11" with a carrot or prime marking over what looks to be a O.A or maybe a D.P or maybe D.A.
Any ideas what this is. I'm guessing either another rebuild mark or another Italian armory marking but haven't been able to run this one down.
Thanks for any assistance.
