1907 Krag Ammo from "The Dealer Warehouse"...

I probably should have posted this under ammo but I wanted more of the Krag shooters to see it.

First of all, they have some 30-40 Krag ammo available and I know that it's not the easiest stuff to come by, so I wanted to share the info:

...but the bad news is that it's pretty expensive and that it's very old. I wanted to check and see if anyone has any experience with these cartridges. I'm thinking about buying a bandoleer or two, despite the price. I'm completely out and to make matters worse, I've got two boxes of shot brass that I can't find to reload...

It would be cheaper to buy factory ammo from midway but they don't have any available, claiming that 30-40 ammo is part of a seasonal run...

    Apparently, it's not "Krag Season".

Anyway, if you've shot this stuff in the past, I'd love to hear how it worked for you...

I would say that stuff is for collectors and not for shooting.

Both Winchester and Remington do make .30-40 ammo in limited runs periodically. When you find it, you buy it. I agree that the 1907 stuff belongs in collections, not as shooting fodder.

        Yeah, that's annoying...
