Don't "tore down" the 95. Unless you like puzzles, and maybe can do a Rubik's cube in one minute flat.

Ken, I don't even think that would help.
norcal73, post some pics of the '95, especially and markings on the hardware and stock. The majority of the SRC models were purchased by military and NG units. I'll see if there's any info on who may have originally purchased that one.

I think I have a video on disassembly of a 1895. Not a carbine but still.

          Video might help BUT...
95's have two leavers on them for taking them apart. Leaver "A" will get it mostly done, and if you dont know what you are doing, you just leave her "B".
99 times out of 100, disassembling old guns to "clean them up" or whatnot will multiply their value by at least 1/2.

I destroyed a revolver as a kid tearing one apart. Luckily it was a black powder off brand 32, but it still bugs me somewhat.

Agreed. I wasn't sure how comfortable the OP was about disassembling one. And I have no idea how filthy or not filthy the carbine is.

But yes, there is no need to turn a carbine into a gun-in-a-bag, ruining screw heads and marring up the finish.
