Mosin Rear site question...

I ahve worked on all sorta of stuff but the other day a (friend) customer wanted me to put a site mount and relocate his bolt accuator on his 91/30 so I did that and he wanted the sights pulled off since he would be only using the scope for hunting.

The front is easy enough to slide off left or right but the rear I pull BOTH mounting pins and no matter what I did could not get it off so I left that all on...

Just curius if there is some simple way? Thanks

And if anyone has any "smoking" deal on 8mm Mauser or 7.62 x 54R ammo Daddy needs some... but has to be WAAaay cheap.

Prefer NOT corrosive but if it's cheap I like...
