    91/30 sight adjustment tool?

My 91/30 is shooting 10 inches high and 5 inches left at 100 yards, form what I understand, the gun is sighted in for 200 yards and is supposed to shoot high, thats fine. But is there a tool to adjust the front sight? Or is a punch and mallet the only solution currently?

I was getting 3" groups with my 91/30 with irons at 100 yards with surplus YT Bulgarian HB
I just need to get it a trigger job. The pull is horrendously long and heavy and it has a 2nd stage(well feels like it) that shows its head right at the middle and stays to the end. This gun for what I can tell was never shot, someone cleaned it and put it away. The lugs on the bolt were never cycled until I got my monkey fingers on it. The bore was shiny with no pits and the rifling was strong, not counter bored, bullet sticks out a good 1/3" at the muzzle. all this for 80 dollars.

Good luck on the punch and mallet route. Most of the front sights are heavily staked in place and they aren't going to move. There is a tool made that will push the sight, it uses a collar and a hex head bolt that you can put a crescent wrench or socket on and apply some real torque to pop the sight loose and move it. I found the tool on a surplus arms review website. It only cost about $20.

Almost any AK-47 front sight adjustment tool would work to tweak the windage. I've had plenty of luck just using a punch and hammer too. Move the front sight left to correct shooting left. Look at the base of the sight from the muzzle and see if the witness marks line up. If not, maybe it got bumped somewhere along the line.

For elevation, you can simply get a black coffee stir straw and slip it down over the front sight post. Then thru trial and error, trim it to size. Works great, stays put and doesn't permanently alter your rifle.

Sounds good fate, I have a AK sight tool.. never thought about using it along with spacers. Regarding ballistics in 91/30. It is sighted in with lightball when it was first made correct? so the rear sight markings would be incorrect with heavy ball.?
