When I had my C&R back in the 90's Commerative Issues were ok to purchase with your C&R. These were the gold inlayed ,nickled, 1 of 500,Winchester and Colt guns that if you turned the cylinder your $5,000.00 Cased Colt was a $1,000.00 coffee table piece. Are the Commeratives still ok under an 03 in Ca.?

They were only ok to purchase with a C&R FFL if the particular commemorative was considered C&R by the Feds. Not all of them are. If the firearm is not yet 50 years old, then somebody has to take the time and effort to petition BATFE to add that firearm to the C&R list. They don't just get C&R status automatically because they are commemorative.

California C&R FFL's can still acquire them, but we have to travel out of state to pick them up in person. Only C&R long guns that are over 50 years old can be shipped directly to a C&R FFL in California now. Back before California started requiring PPT's to go through a California FFL Dealer (1991-ish) then we could have had all kinds of C&R firearms shipped to our doors.
