    Future Collectables

I just picked up two sets of Ruger SA Blackhawk 'Buckeye' Combo Specials. Each set, 1989,1990, has a 32-20/32 H&R Mag, and a 38-40/10mm combination single action. The kicker is they both are a matched pair and have the same serial number and are NIB mint. Value wise they might not be worth much now, but because of the rarity they should do well in the next 10-15 years....

Good luck, but I've never seen a super expensive Blackhawk. Even nice older ones don't really seem to command a premium. These are unusual chamberings though, maybe that'll add something.

I'll venture to say they won't keep up with SKSs bought 3 or 4 years ago. It's not Python realm. SKSs bought 10 years ago and held onto PAX

Maybe so guys, but you never know.... That's what one part of collecting is all about. Owning something that no one else does.... I remember when milsurps were a dime a dozen not too many years ago... They sold because they were cheap. They still don't bring a heck of a lot when they're in poor condition, and those that are in decent shape have an asking price that lets them sit... I don't have to worry about it. I'll let the kids take care of them while I'm pushing up daisy's....

Maybe so, you never know what may be more desirable and valuable in the future. You can't go wrong if you collect what you like.

That's another part of collecting, and I'm really guilty about that one...
