I love all the manly men on the forum!!
I mean, the m44 can kick! Maybe if i weighted 260 pounds, it would not be an issue! but I weight, maybe 160, and my Girlfriend, who may like to shoot more then i do, weights <100 pounds! I dont think she would like going as much, if she had to nurse her bruised shoulder for a week!

Thanks for asking the question OP! I was wondering too about how to tame the recoil of the Mosin Nagant rifles.

Quick question to the experts. On the David's collectibles website link provided on 1st page of this thread, I see an M44 compensator. Is that legal to use here in California? Just curious.

NP, it was entertaining being the brunt of all the manly men on this forum lol.

regarding the muzzle break for m44.
it should be legal, the problem would be getting one mounted as I hear its a pita to take the barrel off the receiver to thread unless its a quick detach.

        got any photos?

It's the first item on this page http://www.tickbitesupply.com/mos.html and it is supposed to clamp on around the front and back of the front sight. Seems easy to install. They have similar ones in Ebay but they have disclaimers that it wont work on M91/30.

that would work, it looks like an exact copy of an ak74/47 break but with a m44 mount.

I have one on my ak and it works. reduces muzzle climb a little but makes the shooters to my left and right angry.
