Stevens mod. 10 target pistol

Hello to all, I was hoping some of you with more knowledge than myself can help. I have a Stevens mod 10 target pistol ser.# 12xx, that belonged to my grandfather, firing pin is broken, barrel release / lock latch is gone. I would like to get this pistol operational again and turn it over to my son, but have not been able to locate any parts or a gunsmith in my area that would take on the project.

Made 1919 to 1933, and only somewhere around 7-8000 made. Barrel latch was a weak point, often cracked or broken. Parts are pretty much non-existent, and would have to be fabricated.
