Where can I get a decent 91/30 stock and handguard??


I got my 91/30 from Traders last year and it is a great shooter but the wood leaves a LOT to be desired.. I can srip off the old finish but there isn't much wood to work with if I need to do any sanding.....

How bad is it? Really dinged up bad, or just so-so?

If you have a C&R license, you can buy a complete rifle for $70 and throw the barrel and receiver away!

The wood has a thick coat of varnish (I can deal with that) but the wood is spongy soft around the band retainers.

Thant e-bay auction isn't that bad.. but $15 for shipping??? OUCH!!!

If you want clips for the Mosin, don't get the ones from that site.. I know where to order Finnish clips that are 10x better.

Stripper clips?? I have a TON of them from the Albanian ammo I'm shooting.. they work fine for me..

Huh, I haven't gotten any clips with my ammo.. yet. (So far: Bulgarian YT heavy and Albanian light alongside some commercial... My favorite so far is Wolf 200 gr.)

I think I've heard of some Hungarian that was packed with clips, but anyway..

The Finn clips are awesome.
