Made in 1944, grips not original, barrel is a Colt - I don't believe it is correct for that year of production. Hard to say with these pics, but the feedramp looks parkerized, which would indicate a refinished frame. Trigger looks right, thumb safety looks right from the little of it I can see of it.
Can't say more without more pics. Nice looking pistol though

Thanks for the info. Figured the grips had to go. Simpsons LTD has early & late grips for Remington Rands.
