I have this British Enfield .303 cal, No. 4 MK 1; H.M. LTP (on stock), lots of armory stamps, numbers, and initials, - as seen in the pictures from the album below, there is a tube... Do you know what it is? Any help would be much appreciated!... Also, Is this enfield anything special, I had one before without this rear sight!

    Thanks Guys!!!

The tube is the oiler for your rifle, which is a nice find. Earlier ones were made of brass with some later wwII ones made out of bakelite. It is almost certainly a MK IV oiler as those were the most common for the time period. If I am reading the markings correctly your rifle was made at Birmingham Small Arms Co (BSA) in 1942. The rear sight is a simplified one used to speed up production, one peep hole is zeroed for 300 and the other 600 yards. The rifle is a nice example of a wwII No 4 Lee Enfield but as far as I can see there is nothing that makes it particularly special other than it is yours. Enjoy
