Was at J&G Sales Today in Prescott

Oh the smell of freedom! It was pretty awesome to just browse all the guns our overlords have deemed unsafe. I only had a short time to view the guns but it was worth it.

They only have a few C&R guns but they have a couple left that looked decent. There were a couple of Argentine Mausers, one has the crest intact, dark but decent looking bore, the bolt is mismatched. The other was a carbine that looked good, didn't get to see if it was mismatched or how the bore looked. They had two Spanish M1916 Mausers that were still in their original chambering, one looked good, the other was really rough. They had three Arisaka's left but I didn't get to see them, they were in the corner and might have been the trainers.

As I was leaving, I noticed they had four SKS crates that were in pretty good shape. Lots of Cosmo oozing in them still. I believe they were $20 each.

Thank you for the report. The Argentine Crests were mainly scrubbed on the 1891 Argentine Rifle. They are usually found intact on the 1891 Carbines and 1909 Rifle and Carbines. Was it an Argentine 1891 Rifle with the crest?

It was the 1909 model with the crest.

The staff were very friendly, more so than any other gun store I've been in. It's worth the trip if you're in the area.

Ahhh, those crates and the memory of stacks of them full with each pristine and matched SKS going for $70.. The smell was intoxicating..

I was there last week and picked up a Tokarev and P-64. Nice to walk out of store with something in hand.

My very first milsurp was a 24/47 from JG back in 2008. I paid 190 I think.
Would like to go there and see if they got any M1 carbine stocks left and in what condition they're in.

They had a few left in a barrel to pick from. The wood was really dark and they looked pretty rough. If you want one for a project go for it but don't expect much.

Yes, the empty crates are $20 each. The ones I saw looked to be in pretty good shape. They would be perfect for a coffee table.

That is a great price! I have a Mosin Crate under the workbench that I keep rifle/pistol cases in. I put caster's on the bottom so it rolls in and out.

So long as stupid people keep voting the same jackholes back into office, things will only get worse.

yes I went there. the prices are amazing. $500 for a CZ p09, 700 something for a Vp 9, threaded barrel if you want. any color. ( because we know in Kali off color guns are unsafe) . pay for it and walk out the door. no wait.
