If matching and good condition Tir Reduit it's a fair price. One just sold on gunbroker for $450. I would have paid $600 if I saw it. If you don't get it PM me the store info please. Been looking for one.

I have seen them NIB with six magazines go for $800+

These are very nice and accurate rifles.

          Is it a MAS 36 or a MAS 45?

OP said MAS-36 training rifle which would be a MAS-36 Tir Reduit the MAS-45 came later. I have a Mauser Banner MAS-45 which is an excellent rifle but the MAS-36 Tir Reduit .22 has escaped me.

I will be back at the LGS Thursday and will take a closer look as I could only see the tag and not handle the rifle.

A lot of people confuse the 36 and 45, that's why I asked.

OP if you are in Norcal and don't buy it, let me know where it is.

And please share the details if you do buy it.

Awwww man......has happened to me before, but less now that I have a smart phone. I will find a quiet corner of the store and do some frantic research.

I seriously hate that feeling of anxiety as I try and ascertain value / purchase worthiness. Any minute someone could come in and take it off the rack.

Very similar but no front sight shroud, a darker stock
