    Charter Arms

I realize they're not exactly high end revolvers, but the earlier ones are well made mostly blued steel and walnut grips, something we see less and less of these days. Has anyone figured out how to tell "C & R eligible" from later? As near as I can tell, a barrel roll mark with no city/state is the earliest, Bridgeport, CT goes from 1964 to 1970 and Stratford, CT is 1970 to 1980. But, no specific serial number info. And the company has changed hands enough times that I doubt they're of any help.

    Any info or sources?
