    10-Day wait exclusion

    Hello,

Looking for the actual CA code which excludes holders of a C&R FFL and a COE from the 10-day Waiting Period...

I found the exclusion code for the 1-handgun-per-30-days, but not the 10-day wait.

I'm putting together a binder to hold printouts of the relevant CA and Federal codes pertaining to C&R FFLs...

    Thanks!

    here you go.
12078(t)(1) The waiting period described in Sections 12071 or 12072 shall not apply to the sale, delivery, loan, or transfer of a firearm that is a curio or relic, as defined in Section 478.11 of Title 27 of the Code of Federal Regulations, or its successor, by a dealer to a person who is licensed as a collector pursuant to Chapter 44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States Code and the regulations issued pursuant thereto who has a current certificate of eligibility issued to him or her by the Department of Justice pursuant to Section 12071. On the date that the delivery, sale, or transfer is made, the dealer delivering the firearm shall transmit to the Department of Justice an electronic or telephonic report of the transaction as is indicated in subdivision (b) or (c) of Section 12077.
it only applies to C&R firearms, not like the 1-in-30 exemption that applies to all handgun, C&R and modern.

Like older then 50 year old rifles,
they are just that, you pay for them, and walk them to your car!
They dont have to be DROSed or anything!

            C & R + COE in CA = cash & carry on any C & R eligible firearm.

            C & R outside CA = cash & carry on any C & R eligible firearm.

to clarify, C&R + COE allows you to cash and carry from a dealer after you DROS. It does not allow you to cash and carry a C&R handgun or <50year old C&R long gun from a private party.

Correct for rifles only >50 years old.

If you are buying outside of Cali and have just your C&R, you can cash and carry any C&R handgun or C&R rifle and bring it back to Cali as long as it's not an AW or DD.
