What is that about? I took a pile of antique parts and resurrected them into something that will still be firing in 100 years. It's not like I bubbaed up an as issued service rifle.

Well it needs proper glass but the Bushnell TRS-25 red dot will let me function check and shoot it some.

They are great rifles and fun to work with here in Konmiefornia because they are antiques. You can build them in 8mm Mauser, 7x57, .257 Roberts, .300 Savage and other low pressure rounds.

Anything in 7mm is great... But the pic's suck balls. I'm serious, post some pic's here in the C&R forum. I'll bet it will be a shooter.

These 88 rifles don't get shot much, and unless it's a original 90% rifle, no harm done.

I would seriously like to see how the rail was mounted. If AR-15 barrels did the work, I'm sure it will be a great little game getter or paper puncher. The only thing better would have been a 6.5x55 conversion, but those surplus barrels are $$$$$$$$$ now.

I had the rail custom designed and threaded to screw onto the front exterior threads that were originally used to mount the barrel jacket and are unique to this rifle. I have extras. I need someplace to shoot it other than a 25 yard pistol range

The threads are cut then the back of the mount has to be shaved until it indexes correctly.

I had them manufactured my an engineer. A custom jig was made, and everything was done on cnc mill and lathe.
