So I went down to my local Big 5 and grabbed one of the $89 M91/30's they had left over from the sale. I don't really need it, but for $89 + DROS I was like "what the heck". I am accually pretty impressed in how good of condition it was in, and Big 5's service was really good too! Now I want one of the M44's they have too. Now for the stupid waiting period.

There is something to be said about handling and inspecting a milsurp rifle before committing to buying one. Although it is cheaper to order one from a supplier using a C&R license, you really don't always get what you expect when it arrives, even if you pay for the hand select option.
I bought a Mosin M38 at Big 5 a couple of years ago for $74, because I was struck by it's immaculate condition. It's still one of the most accurate milsurps I own.
