Good luck with the ammo. No one makes it anymore. If you can find it at gun show it runs around 10. a box of 15 corrosive rounds. I used to see them at shows for 200 to 300.00 quite a bit since most want to shoot them, and few actually can.

They are neat rifles but as remarked above there is no reliable source for ammo out there. The 7.62x39 version would cost more but at least you could shoot it (and with non-corrosive ammo.)

52/57 has been on my radar over a year now and they all seem to go for north of $1,200 now, even in rougher condition.

The 52's are prevalent on gunbroker with the sweet spot around $350 for the ones that actually sell. Plenty on there now at $500 that have been listed multiple times without selling.

Once again, gotta hand it to Classic, they seem to not only know how to polish a turd but to sell it for a premium as well

Well the good news is, according the Classic, "this is the last of it, for sure, pinky promise" so they won't be selling this stuff for much longer

It is just a theory, but it would be clever to post item "x" for sale and then quickly mark them as "sold out" in order to manufacture a perception of high demand. A few days later, another small quantity "arrives" and the item becomes magically becomes available again.

Since the first batch sold out in record time, there must be huge demand for them, and out comes the credit card. Hook meets mouth and the rest is history.
