A few months ago I bought a Zastava M76 Sniper rifle and a full crate of Yugo M75 8mm Mauser Sniper Ammo from a Calgunner
When we met for the PPT, I noticed that the wires/seal on the crate were there, but the wires were just twisted together. I untwisted the wires and opened the crate, the can inside was open and 4 boxes of the ammo were missing (these crates are 900 rounds, packed in 60 boxes of 15 rounds each).
The seller was surprised as he didn't know the can inside was open, he's a good guy and I believed him (I won't name him as he doesn't know I'm posting this). No big deal I thought, and we completed the transaction.
Within a day or two the seller contacted SG Ammo (the importer/seller of the ammo), they replied right away, said that it happened sometimes and refunded him for the missing ammo. He contacted me and offered to pay me back for the missing boxes. What a nice guy I thought, someone before/during/after importation kept a few boxes for themselves, it happens
Well.......
I opened the crate today to take a few more boxes out, and saw something red in the bottom of the crate. WTF I thought.....
Turns out it was cigarette pack full of rocks! Based on the package it's obvious it was done before this was imported (from Serbia, Prvi Partizan is the manufacturer). Someone at the factory, or before/during importation decided to keep a little ammo for themselves and replicated the weight by putting rocks in an empty cigarette pack, pretty sneaky
I'm not mad, in fact, I started laughing, now that I'm typing this a couple of hours later I started laughing again
Next time you guy buy a crate of surplus ammo beware!
I'm sure you'd like to see some photos, I put the pack back in the crate and took some pics, enjoy!
