If it's rare, I find precision x reloads to be great

If you want to shoot accurately at 1,000 yards or farther, it matters a lot.

If it got any closer it wouldn't be dancing! Yes I don't believe for close range shooting and plinking that premium ammo is generally needed especially out of many types of basic milsurp guns with looser tolerances.

Yup, this is plinking ammo. Wish we could still buy it for .13 per round in bulk. Come on President Trump, turn back on the Russian arms and ammo faucet, they are still sitting on Billions and Billions of rounds of this they want to sell us.

I don't want to come off as an elitist, but at a certain level, only the best ammo will do the job. Shooting from a rest at 100 - 150 yards and ringing 12" plates at least 7 out of 10 requires a bit more than your garden variety pedestrian Wal Mart ammo. The low end stuff is fine though for the masses that just want to hear a loud bang.

The current brown shirt status of the PRK, all ammo is worth it. Now.

Do you NEED to use expensive ammo? Not for most purposes. But let me offer that spending more on better ammo really has no downside apart from the extra cost. High quality ammo can offer measurably better accuracy and usually burns cleaner which makes for faster cleaning.

Obviously we all have different budgets and different priorities when it comes to shooting. All I'm saying is that putting cheap ammo through a high quality firearm might mean I'm not seeing everything the gun, or I, are capable of doing.

Is expensive target or hunting ammo worth the price?
                                No, but quality ammo is.
