Hey y'all, took my new (old) colt 1903 to the range for the first time today. While I was shooting I noticed that it decided to improve itself in the snag free department.
Now I think the guttersnipe system has some merit but it's not for me, I like my classic pistols to have front sights on them...
Anyone know how to reattach one? I ordered a beater slide from one of the website... I reckon I can just pull off the beater sight... Do I then just snap it in on my 1903? I've read it works like the 1911's an oval with a little peg that goes into the frame. Do I want to put anything down there with it?
Or should I just send it to the ol' gunsmith?
