    Vintage Solvent Bottles

Anyone know if there's a real market for vintage cleaning supplies and solvent bottles? Going through a crate I got as part of an estate buy and it had a few old Hoppes bottles and Outers cleaning kits and solvents. Wanted to see if there was any value in them before I chuck them in the trash.

One man's trash is a other man's treasure. Post it for sale in the marketplace and see if you get any takers. I would price it to move unless you have something rare or interesting.

EBay is your friend. I've seen the vintage stuff their.

My wife collects all kinds of old bottles and containers. She has these in her collection.

And I'm sure many of us remember these:

You just never know... I had a customer give me a Ithaca Oil Can that I thought was neat and kept it for years. It looked like an old 3in1 oil can, but with some really nice Ithaca graphics. It migrated from the office out to a garage shelf over the years. One day while surfing eBay I ran across another just like it, only not in as good of shape, and without a screw on top. The bidding was already up to $525 bucks, and the seller lived in Ithaca NY. My thought was where in the 'H' is mine!!! Found it right where I remembered seeing it. I contacted the seller and told him about mine, and he asked me not to post it until after his sells, which I honored. He also sent me a copy of the original magazine ad from 1937. This was back in the day when the eBay bidder history emails were available on a given item. So what I did is take a bunch of pics and create a webpage for the can, and then sent a link to every bidders email. Almost instantly I received a reply from the #2 bidder. Just so nobody get's bored reading this post I ended up selling mine for $750 bucks... So you never know....
