m1907 sling setup What do ya use?

I got my repo m1907 sling today in the mail and quickly became frustrated with the diagrams I saw online. Whenever I tried to follow the pictures, keepers and frogs were in different spots and it really took some time to get things how I believed to be correct. Remebering to myself how 3 different diagrams had different loops and what not, I decided to ask how you guys had yours set up on your Garands.

My 1941 Springfield Garand CMP Service Grade could really use your help!

Back loop frog points up toward my beautiful wood. Major wood gouging potential!!! Do I have my sling wrong??

    Couldn't help this pic. :-)

This link explains it pretty easily, www.rifleslings.com/us_1907_sling1.htm. Some of the repros are of different lengths than the original slings, so the hooks may not line up exactly as you see in pictures.

Saw both of these instructions earlier and is the way I went with, but since I have already looked at those diagrams I wanted to see YOUR setups ie PICTURES :-) on your guns!
It seems that there are a few different ways to have it on the rifle.

That's the way they're supposed to be. Mine looks like that. I use a leather sling on my AR for High Power competition.

Frogs facing inwards are rigged for actual use. Or at least that's how HP rifle shooters use them . . . Frogs facing out (away from the wood) is called the Parade Sling configuration.

So, do you think I have mine set up right?

Here is a 1907 sling on my 03. The hooks are pointed towards the wood, but the leather sling is between the hook and wood.
