In Ohio they recently passed a law where we can hunt deer with a 45/70. I realize there are many different makes and manufactures out there but I don't know much about them. Would any of you be willing to point me in the right direction? I am looking for a Rolling Block style 45/70 that is rock solid and has some decent adjustable sights? I know there are many out there but don't know about inherent design flaws, rifling, sights, etc.... Hoping to cut out some research by asking advice from the forum. Old is good as long as it is safe, my budget is 500-600$. I am also hoping that the rifle I purchase can be re-barreled so if the barrel is "shot out" can be easily be remedied by gunsmith. Thanks for any advice!!
