Can a C&R please accept a gun for me?

Hi, trying to order a gun from classic arms and they will only ship to a C&R not a type-1 FFL. Can someone here near martinez/94553 accept the gun for me pleeease? Trying to get a K98.

    many thanks!

A C&R FFL is only to be used for the FFL to improve his own collection, not to be used as a transfer FFL, or to used as a business.

A C&R FFL can occasionally sell off parts of his collection as a means to further enhance his collection, but acting as a transfer FFL is not an acceptable usage of the C&R FFL.

If you want that firearm from classicarms and aren't a C&R FFL, then you need to have it shipped to a CA 01FFL dealer. If Classic won't ship to a CA 01FFL, then you need to find out if they'll transfer it to a middleman FFL in another state like Freakshow10mm.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Why not get your own 03FFL?

I am in the process, but I want one of the nice K98's they just got in. The FFL's around that I know of don't have the C&R license. So I guess then I'm looking for an FFL who also has a C&R correct? Can anyone recommend?

It sounds like Classic does not want to deal with the CFLC program, so I don't think even finding an 01FFL that also has an 03FFL is gonna help you, since they still need to get an CFLC approval. You best bet is to either wait until you get your 03, or have it shipped to freakshow as a middleman who will ship it to your local 01FFL dealer.

read this for more info about classic arms, http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=150566

Sorry but what is CFLC? The new owner said they didn't want to deal with the COE issue that was required to ship to california 01FFL's. The new owner is very nice however and is working with me to figure something out.

The CFLC is a program where any FFL (except 03 and 06) must confirm that any shipment of firearms is being shipped to a CA FFL who has complied with the CA dealer requirements, http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/cflcoverview.php . It is a 5-minute deal for the shipping dealer to set up an account in the CFLC and then a 1-minute deal to get a shipping approval when sending a firearm to an 01FFL in CA. 03FFLs are exempt from it, that is why they'll ship a C&R firearm to a 03C&R, but won't ship anything to a regular CA dealer.

there is no COE issue that Classic has to deal with, he meant the CFLC.

I'm sure there is an 03 in your area buying two, in order to keep the best one and trade off the other. You just need to find them.
