I have recently discovered that one of my mausers is a early single shot chambered in 8.15x46R. If anyone can help me with more info and maybe a price to ask for it I would appreciate it.

Sounds like a Wehrmannsgewehr based on the unusual caliber. Is it a Gewehr 98 pattern rifle in length and with the roller coaster rear sight?Comment

There is a small collector's market for those. The demand is kind of low. However, the people that collect them will often pay a premium for them. What it is actually worth depends a great deal on the markings, how it was converted, if it was not originally chambered for the 8.15 cartridge, and finding the right buyer. And, of course, on the condition of the rifle. Because these are relatively uncommon, pricing it may be problematic. Simpson's tends to be on the very expensive side. And finding comparable guns on gunbroker is likely to take a while, as they are so uncommon. If you need to move it now, set a price that you would be able to live with selling it for, and try posting it on gunbroker. If you are willing to wait, take a few months to see what the market prices for similar guns are selling for.
As for posting pictures on here, use a photobucket account, psot it there, then copy the link over to here. You may have to delete the "url" part before and after the image link to get it to work on here. Good luck.

Saw your for sale add...
You might correct it... A "schuetzen rifle" is not the same as a "Wehrmannsgewehr"..
Very different animals....
Still since you really don't know what you have you should post photos here...Poke'm with a stick!
